A velocidade de relógio do processador gráfico deve de ficar pelos 600MHz.

Segundo os últimos rumores, a GTX 590 vai ter as especificações bastante mais baixas do que a GTX 580, pelo menos em relação à velocidade de relógio do processador gráfico. Aparentemente, os núcleos GF110 da GTX 590 devem ficar pelos 600MHz.

Não esquecer que as informações sobre ainda não são muito fiáveis, visto que vem de várias fontes, a Nvidia ainda não as confirmou.

Ao que parece a GTX 590 vai ficar

GPU - 600MHz
Memory - 3400MHz
average TDP - abaixo dos 375W talvez 365W
Ou seja, 2x8pin PCI-Express power connectors + PCI Express (2*150W + 75W)

A GTX 580 de referência tem
GPU - 772MHz
Memory - 4008MHz
average TDP - 244W

Agora é uma questão de esperar para se confirmarem ou não os rumores sobre as especificações e ver qual a gráfica que fica no topo, a AMD HD 6990 ou a Nvidia GTX 590.

Fica mais lenta de certeza, quando comparada com duas GTX 580 à velocidade de referência. Mas tinha de ser feito para manter o consumo e temperaturas dentro de valores aceitáveis.

A questão que fica agora é se com este corte, o seu desempenho consegue superar a 6990. A 6990 também teve cortes na velocidade quando comparada com a velocidade de referência da 6970. Mas os cortes são menos significativos. A AMD até disponibiliza na 6990 a velocidade da 6970, mas para isso a 6990 tem de estar em modo de overclock e nesse modo a AMD não garante estabilidade.

Tens aí uma gralha, quando comparas as velocidades da GTX590 com as da ... GTX590.


Isto é uma coisa que já se esperava, não se pode querer ter 2 GPU's destes e manter / subir clocks.

a unica soluçao e mesmo meter um sistema de water cooling, por mesmo um sistema de air cooling pode nao ser suficiente!

Claro que é uma excelente gráfica, mas estava a espera que tivesse bastante mais performance que a 6990, não é o caso as gráfica tem basicamente a mesma performance.

Colorful, the launch partner of NVIDIA in Asia, announces the latest high-end graphics card, GeForce GTX 590. Based on a reference design, the card has scratch artworks on the stickers, which infuses the card some symbolic significances. GTX 590 equips with 24 pieces of GDDR5 memory modules in total, 12 pieces on the front and the same quantity on the back, memory capacity is up to 3GB and the clock is set at 3414MHz. 2 pieces of GF110 chips are installed on the PCB and each of the chips has 5 phases VRM, the clock of these two GPUs are both set at 607MHz.
